Stock and Station Agent Licence – NSW

MRT is leading the way in modern online education and training. A stock and station licence is required by NSW Fair Trading to sell property greater than 20 hectares and for the sale and auction of livestock and chattels. To be eligible to apply for a licence students will need to successfully complete the Stock and Station units as prescribed by NSW Fair Trading.

This course focuses on the requirements to appraise, auction and sell rural properties and livestock. You can choose to do this course on its own if you already hold a CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (or equivalent) or enrol into the full CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (Stock and Station) course and obtain a Dual Real Estate and Stock and Station qualification.

Students receive access to their online portal to complete their program at any time that suits them. This method allows our program to be completely flexible and revolve around your own personal timetable.

It is a requirement by NSW Fair Trading that any agents that partake in selling property greater than 20 hectares, livestock or chattels/equipment must hold a current Stock and Station licence. To obtain this licence you must complete both the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or hold a current real estate licence and complete the Stock and Station elective unit cluster.

NSW: 15 units of competency from Real Estate Agent Licence course (CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) or current Real Estate Licence. 

It is a government requirement that all students undertaking nationally recognised training must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) in order to receive a qualification.

The Stock and Station Agent licence course is composed of 5 units of competency:

Cluster 1 Legislation and Compliance

  • CPPREP5311 Develop and maintain rural property market knowledge and intelligence
  • CPPREP4301 Confirm and market livestock for sale
  • CPPREP4302 Prepare livestock for sale
  • CPPREP4303 Establish vendor and buyer relationships in livestock sale
  • CPPREP4304 Complete the sales process – livestock
Students have unlimited support via the MRT portal with a direct message system to the assessment team available to all students. Offering support on weekends and outside of the standard 9am-5pm hours our students are never without help.

This program is delivered via self-paced online learning. Students will have access to all study material, learning resources and assessments within the student portal.

MRT Training (RTO 41529) is here to support and manage your learning and to help you complete your program. Students will enroll and completing their course with MRT Training (RTO 41529). Upon successful competition of the assessment, MRT Training will then issue the student with the relevant Statement of Attainment or Certificate, and transcript of results.

How long to get my certificate? A students will receive a PDF soft copy immediately upon the successful completion of their program.

Please Note: At MRT we are doing our bit to reduce our impact on the environment. Hard copy certificates are not printed and posted unless requested by the student, a fee of $20 will be charged. (All students receive a PDF of their certificate upon successful completion of a program of study, and this is nationally recognised training).
